Are you a sweet lover? Do you love all sweet things, especially lovely cakes and cupcakes? You are impressive by the perfect store bought frosting? However, the problem is that homemade frosting is usually not as good as the store-bought one in terms of consistency, taste, and appearance.

White, canned frosting: This is the basic frosting for most recipes.
Food coloring: You should choose natural ingredients combined from vegetable and juices instead of artificial ones. Though they aren’t as colorful as the artificials, they’re much safer.
Put your store-bought into a mixing bowl. Then add 1 tsp of the powder-formed sugar.
Mix them with an electric mixer. This process may take about 30 seconds.
Check the consistency by a spoon blade. Make sure it’s thick!
If it isn’t thick enough, add an extra 1/2 spoon of sugar. Continue mixing them and rechecking the consistency. Keep doing these till you get the consistency as desiring.
Add an extra 1/2 tsp of water if the mixture is too thick.
After putting the store-bought into a bowl, smoothen the consistency with a spoon.
Drip 3 drops of food coloring into the bowl and stir the mixture.
Keep adding 2 drops of the color (same or different) till getting your looked-for color. Make sure that you check the packaging specifications of those food colors in advance.
To soften, add a packet of 8 oz. (1oz ~ 28.35g) cheese cream. Wait for about 10 minutes.
After putting the frosting into a bowl, drop the cheese cream on the top.
Mix them together till they blend well.
Put the finished frosting on the top of your cakes or cookies.
These store-bought frosting are hard enough to not spread on your cake. But they might be too sweet! Most of them are often considered as buttercream because they aren’t labeled. The following is some useful tips for improving your store bought frosting:
Add 1/4 powdered sugar to a bowl. Remember to mix by hand. A spatula can be used to measure the consistency in this case. The consistency is perfect when it lets the spatula stand on its own.
Keep adding sugar till you have desired consistency.
You can use a packet of either butter cream or cream cheese. After combining them, add 1 tsp of vanilla before adding the powdered sugar.
Bear in mind to keep the cupcakes or other remains in your fridge. It’s impossible for the cheese cream to remain over 12 hours at room temperature.
Mix 1 tsp of flavor extract up to your favorite. For example, you can combine the vanilla extract and rum, or coffee and syrup
You can put your frosting into a microwave with an oven-proof bowl. This takes about half of a minute and helps you apply the frosting on your cupcakes easily.
For a syrup consistency, let stir this frosting, then take it back to a microwave for over 10 seconds.
After stirring the frosting constantly, pour this over your cake.
To add extra flair to your cakes, let mix 1/2 cup of coconut, chocolate chips or nuts.
For an attractive taste, add half of a cup of peanut butter.
In case you want to decorate or write on your cake, use the powdered sugar and some food coloring to make the frosting thicker.
To cut out, a gallon baggie or some icing tips are ideal.
